Hi there!

You've somehow stumbled into my little space on the 'net here, so... er.. congratulations! Or something... :)

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Johann Marx and I'm a South African photographer based in Johannesburg.

I have been dabbling in photography since about 2005 and I fall more and more in love with it with each passing day. I have a soft spot for potrait photography though. There's something about capturing someone's essence in a picture and it's that "something" that has inspired me to venture into studio photography. And I'm LOVING every second of it!

This site is a showcase not only for my photographs, but also my life. You'll find daily/montly/whenever-I-feel-like-it-y journals in the Blog section, a gallery of my images in the Portfolio section and lots of other goodies stuffed in all over the show.
